Look Beauty is still an art when good makeup meant just soaps, perfumes and oils carefully selected after word-of-mouth recommendation. Take your pick! Show off your gorgeous eyes - wear eye makeup. When your makeup is completed it should look natural. That means avoiding colors that clash. If you have dark skin and hair you will look better in darker shades; light colors will make you look washed out. If your hair and skin tone are light, light colors will look better on you. Dark makeup will make you look older and harsh. If you have oily skin, first use oil control moisturizer and foundation. Then be sure to wear loose powder, keeping pressed powder with you for touch ups.
Some women don't wear makeup because they are not sure how to use it and are afraid of being overdone. If you are unsure, start will light colors in your shade. Start slowly and add one product at a time. Maybe start with foundation, add mascara, blush or lipstick. If you are not used to wearing makeup, using a lot a first may be a little too much for you, so start slowly. The bottom line is a little is better than none.

Nine Makeup Tips and Trends for Fall Season

Nine Makeup Tips and Trends for Fall Season
Now that the hot, humid, and desert-like summer months are coming to an end, it's probably time to change up your skincare routine. With Fall season right around the corner, stocking up on the newest lineup of makeup colors, palettes, and collections is a must; while the sheer foundations and light powder eye shadow can carry you through a few more weeks, soon it will be time to ditch the summer makeup bag and pick up some fresher looks instead. Here are the top nine makeup tips and trends for Fall season:
1. Dark jet black eyeliner. Both the smoky eye look and sharp cat eye looks made the runways this season, so make sure you're well-equipped with a crisp, pure black eyeliner to help make it happen. Fall season is great for wearing grey and silver tones, and basic black is an ideal complement for almost all skin tones.
2. Plum shades for cheeks. Even though gold and silver are making their way to the closet, creating a rich and sultry look on the face balances out your look. Look for dark plums and rich browns to brighten up those cheeks.
3. Blood red for lips. The classic red lips are still going strong this season, especially when paired with a basic black eyeliner (see #1) and muted eyeshadow combo.
4. Green eyeshadow. Summer's Caribbean-inspired themes continue on into Fall, except in darker and richer shades. A matte green eyeshadow brushed with light silver and black eyeliner is an exotic look that can transform a basic outfit.
5. Eggplant for the lids. Plum shades for the eyes are usually popular for winter, but Fall palettes are seeing lighter, shimmery versions of purple, plum, and maroon.
6. Metallic accents. While metallics continue to reign on the runway, shimmering eyes and frosted eyeliners are still making the top lists in the makeup department. Offset super-bright colors with a dark gray or neutral eye shadow base for a lasting impression.
7. Plumped up lashes. Thick eyelashes are back in style, so be sure to use that eyelash curler and get them just right. 2-3 coats of mascara skillfully applied can give you the definition and drama you're looking for (no soap opera necessary).
8. Darker eyebrows. Keeping your eyebrows in tip-top shape year round is a necessity, but Fall and winter months are great opportunities to plump them up. Tweeze, brush, and accent the eyebrows with a darkening brush or shadow. Making this look as natural as possible will take time, but the effects can completely change your look.
9. Chocolate and browns for gloss. Lip gloss in light pinks and creams worked out great for summer, but Fall season requires a little more boldness. Look for satiny-smooth lip gloss shades in brownish red tones.
Earthy tones during the Fall season are far from boring; this year's looks have a strong focus on metallics and shimmer, so you'll find plenty of frosted versions of your favorite colors. Smoky eyes offer plenty of dramatic effects for special occasions, while the cat eye look will keep you in line with the latest trends. Take your pick from these nine makeup trends and tips for Fall, and change out that summer palette with a bold new outlook
