Look Beauty is still an art when good makeup meant just soaps, perfumes and oils carefully selected after word-of-mouth recommendation. Take your pick! Show off your gorgeous eyes - wear eye makeup. When your makeup is completed it should look natural. That means avoiding colors that clash. If you have dark skin and hair you will look better in darker shades; light colors will make you look washed out. If your hair and skin tone are light, light colors will look better on you. Dark makeup will make you look older and harsh. If you have oily skin, first use oil control moisturizer and foundation. Then be sure to wear loose powder, keeping pressed powder with you for touch ups.
Some women don't wear makeup because they are not sure how to use it and are afraid of being overdone. If you are unsure, start will light colors in your shade. Start slowly and add one product at a time. Maybe start with foundation, add mascara, blush or lipstick. If you are not used to wearing makeup, using a lot a first may be a little too much for you, so start slowly. The bottom line is a little is better than none.

Summer Makeup Tips

Summer Makeup Tips
Along with the warm summer days, should also come a change in makeup. It is not uncommon to change your makeup and your look for the different seasons. Also, there comes different makeup trends in the different seasons. You may not want to wear the same makeup you wore last winter this summer, as you may look out of place. Also, during summer your makeup should be lighter and more natural than it is during fall or winter. Here are some makeup tips to follow for summer.
*Always apply sunscreen to your face and neck no matter what. Even though you should always wear sunscreen, even in winter, it is even more crucial that you make sunscreen a daily regime in the summer. Protect your face from the rays of the sun, as sun damage can cause wrinkles and age spots on your face. Choose a moisturizer that has SPF in it so you can apply both as one cream.
*Keep your foundation and powder very light. Summer is not the time to layer on makeup. It will not last in the hot summer weather. Apply a layer of tinted moisturizer or a light liquid foundation. If you really think you need it, apply a very light dusting of loose powder.
*To get the sun-kissed glow on your face, use a bronzing powder or blush. Apply it to the areas where the sun would naturally hit, such as your cheeks and the middle of the forehead. Be careful on how much you apply, as you do not want to look too dark or look orange.
*Highlight your eyes by sweeping a very light shadow right under the eyebrows and in the corner of the eyes. Make sure that it is well blended in. You can try a light pink or a white color to highlight your eyes.
*Go for natural shades of lipstick and lip gloss. Avoid wearing lip liner as it may bleed in the hot weather. In the summer, you want the natural look, so stick to light pinks, corals and mauves for your lips. If you have a special occasion at night, then you can bring out the red lips.
Summer is the time to go for bright colors on your eyes. If you really like greens and purples, summer would be the time to wear them. Make sure though, that the occasion is appropriate for the makeup you are wearing.*When going to the beach or the pool, for the day, the only thing you need is sunscreen. Nothing looks worse than a women who has been swimming and is wearing all their makeup all over their face. If you know that you absolutely will not be swimming, then go light and natural with the makeup. There is no reason to wear a full face of makeup at the beach or pool.
*Choose waterproof mascara in summer, as sweating may make regular mascara run down your face.
